Default New to the area/ Lake info

So Im new here and Im new to Magnolia, MS (McComb area). Looking advice on what near by bodies of water I should try. So far I have located Percy Quin, Lake Walthall, and Okhissa Lake. Any advice on which I should try and launch location? I have a surface drive boat so that may make a difference. Thanks

i've fished percy quinn, its got decent crappie fishing, okissa was designed by bill dance as a bass lake but there are crappie in it. havent been there in a long time but it is extremly deep 60+ in places and the back 2/3 of it is flooded timber. you should also be in driving distance of lake mary. its a ms river oxbow. ive never fished it the river is up right now so i dont know if its worth a trip or not. most of the crappie ive fished for lately are suspended in deeper water which is typical for this time of year down here.

Lake Lincoln in Brookhaven. Small lake, but plenty of good sized crappie.

My parents still live in that area and my Dad does a lot of crappie fishing. Unfortunately, he almost always drives out of the area. He spends most of his time either at the Rez in Jackson or around Black River/Horseshoe across the River. Deer park and Lake Mary can be really good when the river is right.

Not sure how the fishing is in Percy Quin anymore since they drained it and then restocked a couple of years ago. Slab Slinger is correct on Lake Lincoln and it can be decent fishing.

Never had any success at Okissa but I haven’t spent much time there to learn it either
