    Default Live scope

I am planning on purchasing a live scope type fish finder but I have few questions before I dive in.
    1. Does Garmin have new technology coming out in 2020.
    2. What does Hummingbird have coming
    that will compete
3 What does Lowrance have coming that will compete.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Humminbird will have their new Mega 360 out in December. From all the pro-mos I've seen, it's going to be awesome, head and shoulders above the previous 360. I have mine ordered.

Like M R Dux said. That new 360 mega should be awesome, but not a direct comparison to live scope. Lowrance has their live site but from every comparison review I have seen it can’t hold a candle to live scope. Maybe Rickie has but I haven’t seen any promo stuff out on new or updated Garmin. In back of my mind I want to believe Garmin will make some kind of improvement in their live scope. Nothing stands still long in the modern technology industry. Humminbird is notoriously tight lipped about new products. Rickie May be privy to some of this info but I suspect Humminbird my be in the situation of infringement if they come out with a similar unit.

Decision decisions!! I'm in the same boat. Can't make my mind up which one to get. I currently have the original 360. Which I love but Not sure to upgrade with mega or livescope. I do love that single pole fishing. Wish the bank would let me get both.

Brands rarely leak info of new products in design phase ...

LiveSight is better compared to generation 1 Panoptix ... It's no surprise (to me anyway) that Garmin did not license their latest and greatest (LiveScope) to a competitive brand ... That simply does not make business sense ...

MEGA 360 was announced before release because 360 is current technology (MEGA 360 is simply an improvement) ...
    -----

When comparing these technologies one should realize that 360 and the "Live" technologies are completely different tools for completely different fishing scenarios ...

*360 shows all the way around the boat with no user input (ie searching) ...

*LiveScope/LiveSight must be physically "aimed" at the target (ie targeting) ...

Choose the tool that works best for your preferred fishing method ...
    -----

I have read a few reports of upcoming HB releasing "this and that" ... but it stands to reason that anyone that claims (in public) to be "in the know about HB secrets" would soon be let go as a person "in the know about HB secrets" ...
