I guess the old saying holds true "where there's smoke, there's fire". BNM already cut ties with him a couple months ago over another incident they felt was suspicious. I know cheating has been around forever and will continue, but it just amazes me how much people will risk for so little reward. Sure $500 prize money would have been nice but guarantee he has that much tied up in about 6 rod/reel combos. Now pretty much any tournament in the future is out of the question for him.
Saw on face book at least one other company kicked him to the curb yesterday afternoon as soon as they found out about it.

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

Gotcha....I misread that part. Sent from my SM-G973U using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app
Glad he got caught cheating! It is not fair to everyone else that goes by the rules!

How does a person sleep at night doing stuff like that???
Not very well would be my guess. Not my place to condemn anyone until I walked a mile in their shoes. I'm certain high level tournament fishing has a mountain of stress that comes along with it. Seems all fun and games when viewing from the outside, shoot I would love to fish for a living but a steady career pays my bills. The individual has been caught and his mistakes will follow him a lifetime, should he be incarcerated as some as suggested? Not in my opinion no, this kind of thing will sting a long long time. Think crappie USA handled it very well. I personally have only fished two tournaments in my life, one was a benefit tournament and the other a amateur FJ. I saw right away when money is on the line no matter the amount folks will sacrifice integrity for a paycheck. The benefit tournament was full of good folks coming out and making a showing for a good cause. Greed is a human fault we're all guilty of at one time or another. I'm glad he was caught, but let's not try to be the judge, jury or executioner. We leave that to the higher judge, he's already shown his justice for those other fishermen or women effected by calling him out. Just preach integrity and morals to your kids or grandkids every day and let the road take it's course. No one person ever starts out on the wrong path I strongly believe, the just sway off the line from time to time. None of us are perfect in any sense that's for sure.
