Default Is it normal-far too many shad??

Have been fishing at the Rez the past couple of weeks and have noticed the overabundance of shad. In turn putting a hurting on the fishing, at least for me. I swear every hole I go to regardless of depth, there’s shad EVERYWHERE. Is it just me or is it just normal for this time of year?

It’s not just there either. Don’t know if it’s normal or not but I’ve definitely noticed there’s a lot.

I figured it was because they had a good spawn with the high water!

Lots of Shad will translate to lots of healthy fish. Sounds good to me.

They have sure been some fat fish! I have cleaned a few that just had wads and wads of white fat in them looked like cleaning a deer in the middle of winter haha

I agree about the healthy part. HOWEVER it just kills the bite and is like a Fish Buffet out there.

It hasn’t killed my bite. I think it’s great.
