I heard last night that ACT is also talking about doing something with clubs to qualify for their championship.

Yeah, that will include clubs that are already in place and not effect them in any way other than offer a place in the ACT Championship each year to points leaders of that club.
From what I understand the Crappie Masters deal will be a whole new club. Haven't seen any details yet but I do know that scheduling is already a hot mess this time of the year and then again in March/April.
A lot of stuff happening in the crappie world right now and we have to keep in mind that the future of our sport is what is most important. And in order to insure it and grow the sport we need more young folks involved.
Wish Mike Valentine with Crappie Masters and Matt Morgan with American Crappie Trail the very best, both have huge investments in the sport!
