My favorite "John" story was going under the bridge and losing signal and no way to steer !

I had something like that happen to me once. Storm came up so I got under the interstate bridge and set my spot lock. When I had my head down in my lunch bag the trolling motor must have lost signal, so it turned 90° and went to full power headed straight toward the concrete piling. Barely got shut off then braced for impact I about broke my arm stopping the boat but I minimized the damage to my trolling motor. And I learned a lesson that GPS signals aren't to be trusted under a bridge. LOL

If you’re a big fella like me, moving to the front of the boat for a while will drop the TM power required to keep a speed up high.

I seem to recall a John story about a floating crankbait box full of baits. Could be wrong though

Wish I had them a couple weeks ago. Dropped off a pole and counter at piney point. Kinda looked like a torpedo shooting off.
