Default Crappie size below the dam

What is the size and number limits below the dams? Also I have been told if you wear an inflatable life jacket you must wear it while you are in the boat even if the boat isn’t under power of the main motor. If you have it laying in the boat it doesn’t count as having a life jacket. I have searched the Internet and can’t seem to find the law on inflatables.

If that is true about the inflatables it seems like keeping a cheap orange life jacket in the boat would be an easy solution.
    I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
I aint got no good intentions.

If you have the vest type inflatable you can remove it. If you have the belt type you must wear it at all times. Or have regular jacket in the boat. Really don’t know size and number limits do think they changed a year or so ago.

The 12-inch length limit does not apply to the reservoir spillway, but the spillway, including Sardis Lower Lake, has a 15 crappie creel limit.
Just pulled this off the net.

No size limit. The creel and pole limit is the same as on top. The suspender and belt preservers do not count as a lifejacket in the boat if you take them off. If
your boat is 16 ft or over you don't have to wear a life jacket while fishing with the main motor off. An exemption to that is if you have a trolling plate deployed on that motor for trolling. Anything under 16 ft, you have to ware a jacket if you are on the water. I think I'm right on the pole limit but better check me.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

My belt is so comfortable that I don't take it off and don't realize it is there. I clip my remote to the D ring.

I'm doing well. Just got back from three weeks Grenada. I took a tumble in Sardis a few years ago. I had my inflatable on at the time, but couldn't get back into the boat. Luckily I had someone with me so he just idled the boat to the bank so I could get in. When I got home I put a folding ladder on the transom.
