Thread: Finally heading south!!!

Been a crazy summer and I usually have a couple trips already under my belt pushing cranks but going for the maiden voyage this year Friday and Saturday. Haven't completely made up my mind but will likely start at Sardis on Friday and see what happens from there. Freezer is running low so hope to put some in the cooler. Will be the guy in the camo 16ft War Eagle waving the white Denali flags off the front so be sure to say howdy if you roll by!

Sorry I didn't take any pics but fished Sardis yesterday till about 1130 and caught 25 or so with 8 keepers pushing cranks....didn't seem to matter too much on the color. Fished mainly out from Lespideza in about 25ft of water

Today decided to go to Enid and it started off super slow....caught a real nice 15" fish in the first 30 minutes around Wallace and then nothing for quite a while so moved across the lake Today color mattered for sure....crank had to have a chrome finish and started catching fish at a steady pace. Probably caught as many fish as I did yesterday but left about 11 with only 3 keepers. Caught fish in 25-30ft of water.
