I spoke to a Game Warden at the ramp at Enid a few days ago and he commented on how thin the fish are this year at all the lakes. He didn't have an answer why, but I suspect it's due to the bait being spread out over such a wide area due to the water levels being so high. I know I haven't seen large schools of bait fish this year.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

I don’t know why y’all think the fish are thin. Fish I’ve caught lately have all been much healthier than normal for this time of year, in my opinion. Even the short fish are thick across the back....just my observation.

I pulled a good mess from the deep Tuesday and the only bad-looking ones I found was one that had a tattoo look like a prop had tattooed it

May try Enid tomorrow and see if I can tell any difference.

I went Sunday and experienced the same thing. Keepers were about half and half, some skinny and some healthy looking, but all the short fish looked healthy. All the skinny looking fish we caught were over 12 inches.

A friend of mine went to 'butla Saturday and caught nothing but pigs, had a nice cooler full.
    I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
I aint got no good intentions.
