Don, what are you planning on using it for? Might want to look into a 999 since it has built in GPS and no need fo external antenna. Ones I have seen for sale seem to be priced right about same as 998 which requires antennas for maps.

Charlie ..it was the unit I had on the console..I used the map constantly..now it won't load the card.Ricky said it was a bad door..I was on Grenada Monday close to jaeger, and half of the map went white. I have a Helix 9 extra I could change..just wanted to save allot of swapping ..you know me and electronics

That makes sense, since you already have your antenna installed if you could find one for the right money you could still use a 999 and plug up your antenna to it. And for right now I think those are still covered under birds repair program.
