    Default Vexus boats

Anybody had experience with these in the aluminum line? I'm in a Triton glass boat now but just thinking about when I trade her in at some point. i love the ride and wind not blowing me around too much in my glass boat but hard to explain the cost if these new pad hull aluminums perform close to glass. (at least that's what they claim) Thinking about driving to Southhaven and looking at their 20ft model. I know there's tons of Xpress fans around here too

They sure look nice but if you are used to a glass boat I doubt you will be satisfied with an aluminum one of any make. They just get blown around too much. I would look at good used glass boats. Lots of them out there. Just my opinion

I would check out the bigger Sea Ark aluminum boats. More I see of them the more I'm impressed. Coupled with a Suzuki outboard they be hard to beat. 2nd aluminum brand be a War Eagle then Express. I'm used to glass boat and not going back for trolling methods anyway. Sure those in the know will be along to correct us in short fashion.

That's kinda how I feel too. I've really wanted to trade into a Basscat this next time like a Caracal or Puma but I really don't want to have to sell a kidney first if I didn't have to. These glass boats sure seem to buck the wind better and are quieter

I’m old and conservative, just ask Snubby. If yours is working and your catching crappie why get rid of it?

Totally a valid point for sure. Just looking around at this point. Certainly in no hurry to do anything with warranty left. Always fun to check out the new stuff though

X2! I did trade off a skeeter for a newer model. Only because the bow was a lot wider, easier to fish 2 people.
Used boats are what I buy.

I have read as much as I have been able to find. Not a lot out there as far as reviews. But what little I have seen says they are well laid out and extremely good fit and finish. I did talk to one bengal an that got to do a test drive on one. He said it rode and handled as good or better than his glass boat. Said on the lake and running it was almost hard to tell you were not in a glass boat. And I agree with you on one thing, these new glass boats are so over priced it’s hard for me to believe they can sell one. Seems as though the price point on the Venus is pretty much in line with the other comprobale aluminum boats though. Defnatley worth a look see to me if you think you might be in the market.

Not sure where you are, but if you get towards memphis, The Boat Warehouse in southaven, ms carries that line. I believe they have a the 18ft as a store boat and may be willing to take an interested buyer for a ride. Good luck!
