Think it will be early, is most years and with the high water more so.

I'm relatively new to wading, and have been planning a trip to Grenada March 8-10th. A little concerned about the timing especially with all this rain. Think the high water will create plenty of wading opportunities like they did last year, but concerned about my timing. You veterans let me know what you think!

When the nights get to 50 it will begin.
I grew up on that lake.. It's really a shame alot of people will never go there.. It truly is home of the 3lb crappie..my grandmaw still lives there so does my mom, and they sent me pics over the weeken, it is FLOODED.. I know a chick that's lived there her whole life and she's never even seen grenada flood like it did this time.. I'll post a few pics later I deleted them but will get them again..

March 10 is early. I’m afraid it’s gonna be a very tough go this year.
With the cold weather we now have the water will be cold. At least for me wading would be completely out of the question.
When I was young, I remember fishing Grenada when it was over 230 and coming over the emergency spillway. This happened numerous times. We caught tons of crappie fishing off the bridge at Greysport. Water was so high, a boat wasn’t able to go under the bridge. We dipped the crappie up with a net of average length right off the bridge. Some on here may remember this.
