I have a friend that has a 10', I think, that has 2 trolling motors under it. It can turn like a 0 turn mower. He guides it with his feet.
Last spring in the high water, he wore the crappie out in Perry Creek and it was the only place he fished. He could get in behind the bushes, where the bigger boats can't go.
I hope you are right. I don't see much bad associated with high water. Rather the issues tend to come with how fast the water comes up and/or they let it back down if fish are in the spawn time line. I'd much rather catch a crappie around trees and vines! Takes a little finesse. Thought I will say the older my eyes get the more challenging! If you ain't getting hung up, you ain't where the fish are.
