If I had to fish from the bank I would go to the dam and fish in the rocks just like dirt track said. Or fish at collinsville landing. Spring is definitely a better time to fish the banks.

Its safe. Just watch for loose rocks. You do have to be camping to fish millionaires point they are referring to.

I don't fish down there often although it's a lot closer to me than some lakes I fish a lot. You can catch some decent ones there during the winter months as they tend to put on a little more weight. If I were you I would save a few bucks and get a Jon boat and 12 volt trolling motor. Not many places you couldn't fish there on a calm day and so much better than the limited bank fishing.

i went 2 days ago fished on the rocks the wind was too strong to use a cork kept pulling mybait to the shore into the rocks so i was forced to tight line and got hung up so then i just went to the spillway didnt catch anything

im now only gonna go back if i get a boat gonna probably order a blow up boat online you can also put trolling motors on them too and they cost 20% of most john boats

Don't think you will be satisfied with any inflatable that I've ever seen. If you take your time and shop yard sales and FB market place I bet you could find a Jon boat in the $150-$300 price range. Maybe even cruise some neighborhoods looking for unused boats sitting in someone's yard and make them an offer.
