Reports I am getting from neighbors right now is verticle jigging brush piles in 20 to 25 fow..... jigs and minnows
I’ve only crappie fished Bay Springs once and had zero success. I plan to try it again today after I get off work does anyone have some pointers they would like to offer to help me get started? Should I be vertical jigging standing timber or spider rigging? Should I be on the main lake, in the backs of coves, or at the mouths of coves? Any help is appreciated.

I really hate there isn’t a map card for Bay yet. Even the little state lakes are mapped but not Bay.

Line under 6 lb., jigs 1/32 and under, crappie nibbles a good idea . It takes a while to feel a bite 20 ft.plus deep if used to shallow only fishing . I never fish less than 15 ft. water unless you see every boat on the bank . Water is normally to clear . jmo .
