    Default Fall crappie

Since losing our delta hunting lease I’ve been more inclined to crappie fish. I have always hunted in the fall and have never crappie fished at that time of year so I am quite ignorant on areas to target, depth, and so on. I’m not looking for anyone’s spot or best kept secret just a starting point. I mostly troll and fish the Rez and am fairly familiar with it. I would appreciate any guidance.

The river ledges on the main lake are always a great place to start.

Fish in the fall are in very similar places that they are in the spring. Biggest challenge in Sippi is the drawing down of the lakes. Gotta follow them out of the shallower water to the river ledges.

Deep ledges on the main lake is where I found them on the Rez this time last yr. filled a box full of slabs. Trying to remember but I think it was around 18 ft and the fish were near the bottom

Appreciate all the replies. I will give it a shot and see what happens. The worst that can happen is I go fishing.

Good luck. Before long I bet you’ll have some slabs dialed in and still find time to claim a buck.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
