I've got a big boat, a medium size boat and a bunch of kayaks. The boats have been sitting for a while, would rather kayak.
Go to Bayou Point to launch, go to your right and you're in the pit.
Lake level is 219.80, a bit deep to do any good there.

Butla put out 14.67 on 7 fish to the winners of the fruit jar tourney. Just keep plugging at it. You’ll figure her out. Best lake in the country when she’s on. There is another tourney there this coming Saturday. The MCC weigh in will be very educational if you show up and talk to some of the guys.

Been a few years back but I used to bank fish hurricane in jan. after the drawdown could pak by the bridge on 304
and fish the creek, towards the lake caught some pigs.
Butla is worth the research and learning. Its the only place I will fish. They are the thickest fish in MS unlike sardis and enid you can read a newspaper through them. Anyways if you learn the lake its really good alot of times but you have to know where they are at. My PB there was 4.8 and I thought I had the world record years ago. I put a quarter on the eye and it didnt cover it. Its Ms best kept secret and always will be bc you cant just go and catch fish like the other lakes.
I would too the pic was taken in late spring in 2002 but we can't find the pic anywhere. Its just a memory now with my grandfather freaking out when he came out the water. Never seen 1 that big and probably never will again. Lol I still fish the laydown where I caught it. Theres not much left of it but it sure was awesome. My son and I caught a 4.2 lb fish this spring at the ( BUT). We do have a pic of it.
