    Default Gnat report from Sardis

We are pulling out of here early Saturday morning for 4 days fishing at Sardis. Wondering about the gnat situation. Are they still there or are they dying back some? I guess if they are too bad we can always pull the boat down to Enid to fish.

I was out there yesterday morning, picked up some way out east, but luckily the wind kept them at bay and from swarming to bad. Didn't see any from the dam up past clear creek though. Friend of mine was out Saturday and said they didn't have any issues with them until they took a shore break. So hopefully they are dying off, not sure if this rain will help with that any.

They apparently all flew here and are all on the TN river. It looked like it was snowing a blizzard Friday night when we ran back to the ramp with my LED headlight on.

They are still bad in some areas on lake. Pulled our cranks into the wind and they didn't bother us too bad. Boat speed plus wind speed seemed to blow them off us.

I still have yet to see even one bug.
Was a few flies at the cleaning station, but they weren’t too bad. At least there was shade.

Wish I could find that many over 12 inches . My better days have been 10-12 keepers with most being 5-8. Would help if I had more than 4 rods most likely .

Yep.... got two gallon bags pretty full of thin fillets. I like em crispy anyway.
