Causeway always produces... and the lights help tremendously. Little later in the summer you can go by the solunar tables and they’re pretty accurate. On the causeway you will do best on nights with very little wind.
When you see the shad swimming you’re in the right spot. At times you’ll hear fish start hitting the water and start catching fish at the same time. Amazing what you hear at night vs. fishing during the day.
I used to fish at night a lot.
Another good night spot that should be good right now is at lost rabbit. Hang a latern on each pole and troll around. The road bed and poles.
Growing up all the old lakes were good at night in the summer.. after the catfish spawn out.
Some still have poles standing with nails and chains hanging tonhang laterns on. Some of them old nails and chain pieces I watched my daddy drive in.. this post brings back memories and reminds me I need to take my son on some night fishing trips more often. That’s an outdoor activities that has kinda slipped away from my regulars. .. kinda like hunting with dogs.
You’ve done triggered something now.. me and Will are going night fishing the next good night we get this week!
Thanks for the reminder post.
