Not likely to catch many crappie fishing from bank. Go to Holiday Lodge boat ramp. You can wade that cove on the east side crappie fishing. also, I saw a dude hauling at least 60 lbs of catfish up to his truck 3 days ago. Fishing on the east of the boat ramp. Used to be a swim area so I'm sure the bottom is still all sand. Was using night crawlers. You can always go to the hwy 7 boat ramp. ditch runs up it. white bass and maybe a crappie or two. else the spillway which i personally can't stand fishing. but its bank fishing.

COE has posted "no fishing on the ramp" signs at Hwy. 7 boat ramp. They say they will write tickets. 100-200 white bass were being taken out every day, and it was getting really crowded on weekends.

How stupid unless they mean the boat ramp itself. I don't see how they can post no fishing on the banks and that ditch. Its a public ramp to park.

It's a two fold problem. first the bank fishermen take up the boat trailer parking spots and secondly they sometimes get down right nasty and often refuse to move from the ramp to let a boat in or coming out. The ramp users are paying a fee to use the ramp, the bank fisherman aren't. I have had problems twice, once with ramp hoggers at Beach Point on Sardis and another time with guys fishing from the floating dock at Mcurdy at Enid, both acted as if I was the idiot for wanting to use these amenities for which they are intended for and that's boats. I think they are just trying to let them know the boaters have the right away to the ramp, I agree.

Alright. I can agree to that since the boats are paying the fee. I didn't think of that in my haste initial response. Guess they can park on the highway and walk.

Don't think it should be no fishing though. Maybe all cars must have a fee tag. Really, how often would it be a problem. Not much. But guess someone will not be happy either way.

The issue is taking over the actual boat ramp, the concrete structure folks use to launch. I didn't see in Pops post where they couldn't fish period, but they can't fish from the ramp. They also can't park in the boat trailer spots with a single vehicle with no paid pass for parking be it daily or annual. There is plenty of bank (dirt) to fish from, go on down there and tell 20 of Marshall county's finest who are all related and full of rot gut and whatever else that your fixing to break up there little ramp parade so you can launch, let us know how it works out for ya!
