    Default Cats and Crappie

A first for me. I caught a 5# cat and 12' crappie on the same pole. It gave the old Denali a work out. It was a 3 stooges fire drill for a while...lol..

I got lucky, it was on the outside pole. I didn't see the crappie at first since it was on the bottom hook. Then it looked like the cat was 3' long before I realized there was a crappie on too. I was fishing alone with no net man. It was a blast!! Ended up with a nice mess of crappie too. A good day on the water.

I have never missed as many bites as I missed that day. 4-5 eyes would go in the water and sometimes I would feel a fish and he would get off. Most of the time it would not even get the minnow off. I could have loaded the boat if I could have caught 1/4 of the fish I missed.
