I would rather you come by on plane close than across the lake.

What do yall think is common courtesy(distance you should keep away) when motoring to your spot on the lake with other boats set up and fishing or fishing among other boats fishing? Just was wanting to know what people think about common courtesy among us crappie fishermen. How far should you distance your boat away from other boats when on plane?

Feelay is correct. A boat on plane doesn't throw near the wake that a boat going half throttle. A lot of boaters try to be courteous and slow down while passing by people fishing. They are actually rocking them worse by slowing down.

Don't care as long as you don't motor between feelays boat and mine. It might make me alter my course and I won't be able to get back in line behind him.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

I do not fish on top of folks nor do I run half trottle past folks, matter fact its DEAD IDLE or on plane. I can't stand for folks to motor back for another pass pushing a three foot roller, just ain't in that big a hurry.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".Slow down no fish or money worth dying for."No Wake" Slow Idle,I am not looking at your baits,As I idle by!!
I always go out toward the main lake instead between other boats and the bank when I move to another area. Even if I am
making another pass over the same area. I seldom fish in among other boats unless they come to me. Just don't like fishing
in congestion. Some crappie fishermen will go between you and the bank even if you are only 30 or40 yards out. All bass
fishermen will do it. If I'm meeting a boat coming from my left or right when I'm fishing, I always turn behind them. I don't
try to see who got to the stop sign first. I'm out there to enjoy myself and put a little meat in the freezer, not to have a whizzing
contest or prove a point.
Tell'em I'll be there.
