I find this hard to comprehend . I have caught several from this lake in excess of a pound and back yrs. ago there were some that I woulds have thought over 2 lbs . Guess nobody ever turned one in . Back in the 70's trace, lake monroe and lamar Bruce was my dad's favorite places to bream fish . There were giants in all three .

Well, it may just be about as accurate as the rest of those month old fishing reports that they just change the date on each week!
I have talked to quite a few lake managers who have told me they didn't talk to anyone at the MDWFP and tell them what is written on there...

The MS state record bluegill is 3.45 lbs.... state records here. Mississippi State Fishing Records
I have caught lots of bluegill at lake lamar bruce bigger then the one you posted....lots bigger

exactly , only explanation could be that no one ever turned one in . Maybe they started over after redoing the lake.

I been creel checked there by gw many times and they weighed and measured all my fish and wrote it down.....checking bluegill and redear.

So, I guess you have to apply for lake records ? I will soon be the lake record holder . lol
