    Default Pickwick

Fished Indian creek and yellow creek the other day and caught nothing! Usually we load the boat this time of year... Very few boats(bass too) on the lake. I have heard that Pickwick has had 2 shad kills this winter and that has killed the fishing.
Has anybody heard anything about Pickwick ????

I heard of one shad kill, haven't heard of a second one. Go to this section, others there could help more.

After the shad kill Pickwick is dead! We should have a good spring though and some fat crappie for sure, it was one of the largest shad kills I have ever seen on Pickwick in 50 years of fishing the lake, I have talked to other fisherman that have fished the lake longer than myself and they are saying the same thing it is the largest they have ever seen on the lake and they feel like we will have a good spring also!

Well that makes me feel better becasue i fished all day 2/11 and never got a bite on Bear Creek. Did pretty good on Wilson lake up in Shoal Creek. With the major cold front last week should we expect another shad kill???
