Hey Everyone ,
Is there anyone on here that is familiar with shadow lake in Roosevelt state park ?
My wife and I are going to be in the park for a couple of days around the end of Feburary and I was trying to figure out if would be worth pulling my boat down there . It will be about a 5 hour drive for me to get there.
Thanks,

I HAVE CAMPED THERE MANY TIMES . THE BASS FISHING PRETTY GOOD , THERE ARE CRAPPIE THERE BUT JUST NEVER GOT ON THEM . I ONLY LIVE ABOUT TEN MILES FROM THERE . YOU GET THAT CLOSE LESS THAN AN HOUR FROM THE REZ UPPER LAKE . SHOULD BE GETTING GOOD BY THEN . I WILL BE GOING ON SATURDAYS TO THE REZ . SHADOW LAKE IS BEAUTIFUL MY FAVORITE PLACE TO CAMP OR STAY IN A CABIN .
CATCH THEM ALL.
We've stayed once in the motel and once in a cabin. To much other things going on to fish either time. You won't be far from the back waters of the Rez and can be on the water in about an hour. Ought to be a good time to drive around to the spillway.
As of this weekend on Shadow Lake at Roosevelt I was catching the crappie on the bottom in the 21 ft to 35 ft water. If you will find the map and go to the 35 ft water you will find them on the bottom this time of the year. Not monster slabs here but good eating size for sure. I fished it Friday and Saturday in the windy condtions caught good messes of crappie. Trolling in the deep water is the best technique this time of the year for the other locals and myself.
