A Floating dock at Engineers Point like the one at the lower lake on Sardis would be nice to park the boat during launch and load up.

That's too much like right. And they don't even need that dock. Its easy to just pull up on the bank down there an no huge waves sinking the boat.

they must do something of value. They had to close them for our safety when the gov shut down a couple of years ago.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

We should all be thankfull what we do have. These lakes are not for recreational use at all!!! They are strictly for flood control. And dont get me wrong i would love to have mats, piers and hell even valet parking wouldn't be bad. Just thankful to have a place to go and take my boys and introduce them to this great sport that we all love. Just my opinion.

They were made to help flood control but the fact there are camp grounds and ramps make them for recreational use. And they bring in revenue for the state. The point is, spend a little money to make the ramps safer. I'm sure having outhouses 75 years ago was great and thankful to be had, but not to say having a modern bathroom isn't better!! They hang life jackets at the ramps to promote safety. I bet most boats sink at the ramps at least at Sardis. I don't think anyone is saying we don't enjoy the lakes and opportunities. Just enhance the ramps a bit or I'd at least like to see where the parking fees are earmarked for!

Earmarked for access and patrol, pretty much it. Willing to bet that ALL fees collected through out the year at Grenada Lake does not cover that exspense. Sardis may be a different story as they have a lot more to use that lake.

That and the full time sheriff's deputy that rides through, COE pays for one full time deputy in the counties their lakes are in. I for one appreciate the COE and the deputies riding through, very rare we see one out with his ticket book riting tickets and if you get one 99% of the time it is a warning nit an actual ticket.
