    If so any luck?

try power pro depth hunter metered line.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

How long would you be able to pull cranks with a 36 volt minn kota ultera on a average day. Group 31 batteries on a 20 ft champion fish hunter. I have a 36 on my pontoon that I am thinking about putting on the boat for crappie fest. I was given a 4 hp Yamaha that needs work and not sure if I can get it running in time. How long do you normally pull during a day of fishing. Got no room for golf cart batteries or the money. Thanks

Rees can give you a better idea but I’d think biggest part of the day on that boat unless fighting a pretty strong wind. If this heat holds like we have been having I’d figure about 6 hours is all you will want in one stretch. What most do during crank fest is go out early, fish for awhile come in have lunch BS for awhile and go back out in the afternoon. You can hook charger up and charge for couple 3 hours while you recharge. So I don’t see you having any problems.

    Default Pulling Cranks 101

I’m fairly new to pulling cranks but I’m wanting to get me some new rods just for this purpose but I’m wanting to stay away from 16’’ ft rods (just not for me) I would be mostly pulling from the front of the boat with 3 rods how effective would I be by using 8’ ft 10’ ft and 12’ ft and I was planning on using the PST rods with line counter reels. I’ve searched for some info on this but can’t seem to find any.

Just 3 rods and not wanting to use 16' rods I'd go with a 6', 10' and 14'. That gives you 4' separation.

Thanks I read where others was doing a 4 ft separation but didn’t know if 2ft was enough or if I needed 4 ft.

if you don’t turn a lot and don’t put out a lot of line, 2ft separation is plenty.

with everybody livescoping there won't be any crappie left by the time crank pulling starts.
