Do any of you change out the hooks on your cranks to a different size or color? Some of the cranks seem to have big hooks for crappie.
    Thanks,

My main alteration would be to put a #6 red on the front, and #4 red on the back.some days it seems that the fish will not take the #4 as deep as the #6

Skippa Chippa, that is almost the way the older steering was done before they came out with the heavy cable steering systems in use today. 4 pullies, a couple of springs for tension, a console with a steering wheel and of coarse the throttle and shifting cables and box. brings back memories for sure. It's functional that's what counts...

Does anyone use the Precision Trolling App?
The Bandit depth chart I found on here and have used for years is different than the app. For instance the chart from here says 10’ of line = 5’ for a Bandit 300. Precision Trolling says that will get you 4’. Looks to be a foot shallower at every point thru the chart. Not a huge deal but a foot deeper can have you fishing below the fish! Just want to get the thoughts of the experts in MS!

Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!

That’s what I use. I actually sat down with phone and typed up a chart on computer with a little bit bigger numbers. Printed it out and took to office max and had it laminated. Much easier than fumbling with phone.

Has anyone started out pulling cranks not using line counter reels and eye ball casting to the distance desired for depth?

    If so any luck?

Search Youtube for Mike Baker. He has several trolling with crankbait videos and that is how he deploys his baits.
