Default TV Taping for Brushpile Fishing

Hello Everyone. Russ Bailey here. We are looking at taping some summer shows in Minnesota this year for our Brushpile Fishing TV show. I would appreciate any suggestions on lakes and guides!!

    Thanks,
    Russ

One that comes to mind is Corey Bechtold from a NW Metro suburb. Corey is an outstanding panfish, bass and walleye angler. He is not a licensed guide but he is extremely knowledgeable and has a broad range of experience in and around the entire metro are.

Google Matt Johnson. He works for some large fishing company here in Minnesota and is also a metro area guide. Very knowledgeable in bass, panfish and walleye. Not at all camera shy. Sorry, but no phone number for Matt.

Russ, Roger Cormier of midwest outdoors t.v. show might be a person who could lead you to you're answer.

Also, I couldn't say in Minnesota where is the best for crappie, but I can say from personal experience that around the Brainerd area I had some very good crappie fishing.

Russ....Do a dnr search for Minnesota and take a look at the lake finder feature. Give Corey a call, he has a ton of great information on mid-state and metro area lakes.

    I'd still call Corey first.

Corey or Matt agreed. Either Matt. There are a whole lot of good crappie fishing lakes in Minnesota and many of them are easily accessible. You can find good crappie lakes in nearly any part of the state. There are fewer brush piles though... Crappies are often one of the few local fish without consumption advisories as well. The DNR Lakefinder can inform about that.
