    Default Makin ice today....

We've warmed up to -18 degrees from -21 this morning at 6:30. This cold should penetrate the snow cover and set up any slush that's under the snow. This cold also covers the whole state, much or Wisconsin, North and South Dakota and well into Iowa. Tonight is supposed to be the colder of the two nights, so ice production should be humming right along.

We have a pretty decent blow going to added to the cold. I suggest that people venturing outside today be sure to take note of the temperatures and prepare yourself accordingly. Expose skin and frost bite will become good friends inside of 5 minutes at these temps and if you have circulatory issues that time frame will be considerably less. Be careful out there ya'll.

-12 right now but we are supposed to see the plus side of zero this afternoon and for the next few days. We've been under the zero mark since sometime Saturday night. Getting old, this kind of cold. Gotta laugh at the birds at the feeders while its cold like this. I have chickdees and gold finches fluffed up so much they're the size of robins. lol

I no longer ice fish. Lungs are shot and I can't breathe the cold air. I can't sit in a shack with heat because of the co levels. All I can do in the winter is hope I can get the snow off the walks and driveway then sit back and complain about winter. I'm thinking winter needs to have the Canadian border as its bottom boundary. 70 here tomorrow would be fine by me.

Florida weather is great come on down! Great slabs and great weather. You can pretty much fish everyday. No ice, co2, just pack your sunscreen. Love Mn in the summer, it's like a frying pan down here then, I'll be fishing lake of the woods in July, looking forward to the weather and fishing.

Been almost a heat wave of late. 40 yesterday, 36 right now. Seeing some snow going off areas where it got driven down. I can finally get in the garage and work my plastics again and have been busy.

40's to near 50 yesterday. 36 here right now with some rain overnight and still in the area. Better rain than snow. Tuesday/Weds are supposed to be mean snow-wise so this little reprieve is welcomed. Id give anything for green grass right now.
