Sorry for the late post.
After watching the weather closely, we agreed it appeared the weather was going to have a good enough window of opportunity where we could get some fishing in on Saturday so the call was made to go on with it. We did have good enough weather for this tourney but to be extra cautious we decided to move up the weigh in another hour. I'm glad we did as I was just able to get home and boat put away when the big rains came at my house. As far as the fishing went, we had 6 teams on the water, all seeking a spot in our top 5 for AOTY race cause the top 5 all pay out at the March meeting. Also, at the ramp we had an additional 4 really nice items to be given away which was 2 nice BnM rods, a 13 qt bait tank and a pflueger reel.
As far as the fishing went on Saturday, most found it pretty tough. Only 3 boats of our 6 in the classic found fish at all and nobody found a limit. Joey Davis found 3 fish on the day weighing 2.82 pounds and that proved to be good enough to get first and the BF pot with one weighing 1.12 pounds....Rodney Edwards fishing alone found one fish on the day to bite and his weighed in at 1.09 pounds to take 2nd place. Toby Ivey & Matthew Nash also had 1 fish at .63 pounds for 3rd place.
