Thumbs up Tims Ford Tourney Results Oct 22nd 2016

MTCC fished it's Oct tourney at Tim's Ford, launching from devil's step ramp. Blasted off at 7 & weighed in at 2 PM. Nine teams fished it and we had 4 or 5 teams not able to make it that usually do so total boat count was down from normal. The day was cool to start with at 38 but warmed up nicely into the low 60's on the day. The sun was out and it was a little breeze and the fish did cooperate this day for many teams. Only 2 of 9 teams failed to find any fish. Four teams found 7 fish limits, one team found 6 and 2 teams had 3 fish to weigh. Results are as follows.

Robert Baker & Larry Britton won this day with 7 weighing 7.90 pounds. They also had big fish with a nice 1.68. Taking 2nd place was J.W. & Kane Jackson with 7.57 pounds. Congrats to both of these teams for a job well done this day. MTCC will be fishing next over at Normandy Nov 19th then back at Rock creek ramp on Tims for Black Nose Friday the day after Thanksgiving.

    Default BlackNose crappie

It depends to be honest. Two weeks ago we had 3 or 4 black nose out of 8 total keepers. Sat I only remember a very teams having any fish that were black nose but I wasnt really paying that a lot of attn. I know last year was our first year for having black nose Friday a 1.65 won the bF pot.

Rules for BNF....To win the big fish pot, you really will have to have the biggest black nose, not the biggest crappie to win. Last year it just so happened, that the biggest fish weighed in was a black nose, but I bet that wont always be the case. Either way, biggest black nose wins unless nobody has one. Then its biggest crappie. We are still fishing a 7 fish limit for tournament.
