Thread: Finally a Crappie Tournament. This weekend March 21st 2015

Middle Tennessee is going to be starting it's 2015 season this coming weekend with a tournament on Tim's Ford lake, Devil's Step ramp. We will be fishing from 7 AM to 2 PM weighin there at the ramp. This coming Thursday we will also have our monthly meeting at 7 PM at Skips Grill in Winchester Tn. If you can, come on by and get started off with the club right from the beginning for 2015. We will talk about the 2015 season, show and talk about what we have going on this year in the club and get registered for lots of extra pots that seem to be quite a bit of added fun to your year with the club. Last year we had one tournament where a member did very well and won several hundred dollars all from the same tournament with only a $25 investment. Don't miss understand me though, MTCC is more about the friendship, the fellowship, the fun and of course the fishing. Nobody will get rich fishing our tournaments because the entry fee is low at $25 per boat plus $5.00 BF pot. We also pay back basically one place for every four boats entered so you see, it's more about the fun and placing and having a good time on the water with other crappie fishing friends. We have lots of members who swap up and fish with different ones and there are a few members who are in the club who don't even own boats but don't be fooled, they can fish!!!! Well I don't want to over sell the club but if you are reading this, thinking you love talking fishing and you like fishing in Southern Middle Tn on Tim's Ford, Woods Res and Normandy Lake, you should probably check out what we are doing in the club. You would probably enjoy fishing with us. If nothing else, just come check out the meeting and enjoy the fish talk. We have a few members who do only that and that is just fine too. PS. The state of Tennessee has a program called TARP but at MTCC, we have a program called CARP!!!! (Crappie Angler Recognition Program). In our program any 14 inch fish or bigger you catch earns an additional $5.00 to a pot and a ticket to win for each CARP caught throughout the year. We get proof of each CARP and ask our members to put each CARP back into the water so it can be caught again by somebody else some day. You know, if we are all putting back just a few of our largest crappie each time we go, next thing you know, people will start catching some really big fish when we go on trips more often. This is just one more way the club is trying to give back to the resource that gives us so much pleasure, our local lakes.
