    Default 85th Birthday Bash

I had my dad down for the past 3 days and we went on a little fishing excusion. It was his 85th Birthday and we headed off to Woods for a little trip to give a few the soremouth. We accomplished that on Friday and Saturday. We boated over 100 Crappie and stripe each day and had a blast. It was his first time spider rigging and he was in for a treat as the fish were cooperating for sure. Great to see someone struggle as 2 or three rods go down at the same time! Learning how to boat the fish on a 12' rod took some learning too. On Friday we only had maybe 10 keepers in the bunch but on Saturday we may have had over 20 keepers. We threw them all back as we were only there to have a great time and leave our mark on them. He caught 4 large stripe at one time, 2 on each rod and that was fun! Looking forward to doing it again as I think he likes the spider thing. He said it was the easiest fishing he had ever done. He just had to sit there. I controlled the trolling motor from the back of the boat and tied on the jigs. After all it was his birthday! The color did not mater much as we caught them on everything we put in the water. We did the famous Skeet on the water on Friday and he stopped by to say hey but would not tell us how he did. I think he was embarrassed or something.
