Meeting Thurs 16th Tourney Sat May 18th
Time again for our MTCC meeting this coming Thursday night and our tournament this coming Saturday. If your into crappie fishing and enjoy spending time with others who like to crappie fish as you do, this is most likely for you. We meet, mostly to get together and share a meal, share a few stories about the ones that got away, each tell whats been working for them lately and we just share knowledge with each other. We do compete with each other at the tourneys but its more about the fun of the competition than anything. We had 12 boats in our February tourney and 11 in March and April with some guys out who normally fish. We may shatter the record number of boats Saturday. PS we had a great time at our kids/coed tourney last Saturday. Thanks to club sponsors such as crappie.com and many others, we was able to give the kids some really cool fishing related items. The smiles and the happiness fishing gives those kids is priceless.

was on tims today first time sense January, as for as fishing goes at least, got skunked .fished docks and blow downs deep, shallow .water was tea colored ,temp 66 to 68, tims is probably going too be tough .haven't been on Normandy sense last tourny. dont have a clue about there .anyway probably wont be at the meeting thur. someone let me know how it goes and what lake to donate at thanks.

Last couple of times I was at Tim's I got skunked on crappie. Fished mainly blow downs and brush piles in 20 ft or less of water. That was 3 weeks ago. Heard that crappie are biting in the shallows at Normandy but haven't been there to find out since the Feb tournamnet. Also wont be at meeting but will be at the tournament.

Oh by the way, my vote is for Tim's. I know it doesn't work that way but I am looking forward to the challenge of catching crappie there.

Saturday is going to be Normandy. We will all blast off from Barton Springs Ramp at 6 am. Be back inside buoys by 2 pm then we will start weigh in immediately there after we all get gathered. Non-members welcome to fish with us but has to pay a small non member fee. All the fishing reports from everybody have been pretty bleak from both Normandy and Tim's Ford. This one should be interesting if nothing else.
