    Default mid tn bank fishing

    hello all

i'm new to this site, and i appreciate any info anyone can provide

i don't own a boat, so i do a lot of bank fishing

can anyone recommend any good bank fishing spots (not on private property, obviously) for targeting crappie here in middle tennessee

i live real close to old hickory lake / drakes creek / old hickory dam, but i don't really know any local fishermen to ask...

    THANKS!

Hello Tennesseemike. If you don't get an answer here, try putting this post in the Tennessee forum too. I wish I could help you, but I fish mostly on the south end of Middle Tn, and I don't know anything about the lakes up around Nashville north. There are a few that come talk here that fishes or has fished the JPP lake up that way. Good luck bud.

Welcome TNmike, JPP off weakley road out of Smyrna you will find Stewart creek boat ramp. As you are pulling in make your first right and you will find a parking area. A walk way will take you around this cove and TWRA has several platforms to set (take a folding walmart chair) on with structure in front of them. Good spot for bank fisherman after crappie and gills. After a good rain go to the head of spring creek early, the clear water coming out of the spring holds some nice crappie.

    Hope this helps.

Best place I know of to bank fish in these parts. Not that far from you. TWRA has done a great job here.
