    Default HB 898 w/SI

Any members run this unit? Goods / Bads / wishes. Already know about wishing for larger screen but this is the unit I'm looking at for right now.

    Thx

I just bought one also for the new ride. I hve installed it yet but it is in the house ready for installation on my Terrova. I have the 798's and I expect it to be much the same except for larger screen and also ability to turn off 455 si and run the 800 si in shallow water. I love the si on the trolling motor as I have the new 360 already installed and did not know it! Just turn the motor. the screen is brighter than the 798's that I have now and am looking forward to that.

Its gonna take a large hand crank generator and two long electrical leads to have a shot at beating you guys this year.

Big ya need to holler at me for the install party. would like to swing by and check that out. you said you had the 360 installed already and had me going for a minute you dog.

Read a article on the 360 hooked up to some of the HB units. That thing is sweet. Even with the boat setting still it updates and shows real time. KVD said while setting at a ramp waiting on a guy a fish stocking truck showed up. He watched as they dumped the fish and saw them moving out away from the bank. Just think, your running spider rigs on a flat...look and see a school of fish 50ft to your right agling your way...make a slight turn and run right into them. (well it sounds good anyway lol)

GCF if your like me you have to sale to get and right now I'm in big time sale mode! Hard setting on this U.P. trip money when I think about what I could get for the boat with it.

Don't need the hand crank any more, there's a solid state version out there called a fence charger.

Man I think I have forgotten how to fish without electronics. Use to fish from a row boat and caught a blue million from that. Fished from the bank. No problem catch fish. Take the canoe catchfish with a mepps spinner. Lose my trolling motor and electronics for a day and I was lost.

THX G, hows the learning curve? Saw several pix from the screen from diff. folks. Some good some looked like transducer was in the mud. Guess it's all in getting it set up right.
