Where are the white crappie at?

Have been fishing Woods Reservoir hard for several weeks now, and have noticed that all of my catches have become black crappie, and black nose black crappie, and I started noticing weeks ago that I am not ever catching any white crappie.I also noticed that the biggest fish that came in during the weigh in of the Woods open tourney was white crappie.Where are they? I mean what areas should someone be looking for them in the fall on Woods or on any lake of that type? Have they went back up river? I have generally been fishing close to the river channel and fishing deep for several trips now and have not seen one. Have always caught them in deep water before.Lets hear what you say about it.

As long as your catching fish, I personally don't see a problem. Do a google on what whites and blacks prefer. I know the answer and it will shock you as far as water clarity and water temp are concerned. Whites are way more picky. FATBOY

GFC ,,,90% of the fish I caught this weekend on Tims were Blacknose.

Talked to someone who knows quite abit more than I do about crappie today and he shared with me something I had not thought of. Said the black crappie, and black nose crappie are being restocked heavy while the white crappie are not in our lakes. I did not know that but can see that to be the case in my personal catches. Also, I am fishing places that are more suited for the black crappie, being in deep water impounded areas with current.

I second what Trashtrout said; most of the ones I caught on Tims were black nose also.
