Default Say Goodbye to the lower end

Well this weekend will be the last weekend this year to fish the lower end on Woods Reservoir before we have to give it up to the birds.Seems like every year I just get started up that way fishing then the ole signs come out.

I have fished either Guntersville or Woods in the past during the winter.I am going to try Normandy and see what happens this year.Anybody like fishing Normandy in the winter? Will be new to me.

Not here. Usually fish the JPP lake in the winter time. I like it then all the way through the end of February. Normandy was fair to me last year. I expect that the success rate will increase this year on that lake since I have started my cheatin' ways. I do not know why the fish would not be in the same shallow water in Normandy as they are in the lakes I grew up fishing in East TN. We would get them real shallow in the ends of creeks and the stumps on the river channel. Tims looks to have the same conditions around Rock Creek and up towards the park. Shallow mud banks with stumps.

I was going to say GCF you need to venture on up here toward Percy some..Carp you up this way any during the winter hollar and let me know I will be out there more this year during the winter more than normal.I dont think I will be spending time in West Tenn duck hunting this year.I would love to be over there this weekend but wife wants me here.So guess I will be here all weekend so might end up on the lake.Rerigged all my spider gear last night and made sure everything is in order.Still got a few more compartments on the boat to clean out and organize.

yeah I use to hate not getting to fish that area during bird season, I use to catch most of my fish in that area. I fish only Guntersville now when I have the time
