4am the alarm goes off, roll out and begin getting ready for my opening day. Ease on over to the field and set up waiting for the deer to go to bed right about daylight like usual. Things are lookin good, I'm seein shadows movin around and not too long til I can see em in full light. Then a set of headlights pulls up next to the barn, sweeping the field in the process. 4 deer, male or female still unknown, come to attention looking at the lights, and turn and walk into the woods never to be seen again this mornin. Seems the landowner had given permission to someone else to hunt that field too. 7:30 I packed up and went home for some breakfast and a cup o coffee. Mom's going out with a friend so it's time to load the boat, scoop up TennTodd and make the best of it:D. Went to Tims and had a good time, but no fish to show for it. Maybe better another day for the deer.

Skeetbum,
Sorry you had somebody come in on you like that. I have had the samething happen before hunting Moss Island in north west tn. (TWRA Land) I had a deer of a life time ready to walk out for a clear shot very nice 10 point but some bonehead came walking in the woods at 7:30 a.m. He came back by around 9:30 a.m. when I was climing down and he told me he was sorry but he did not like to walk in the woods when it was dark. I told him he needed to go to wally world and buy some limb lights or get out of the deer hunting business!! Glad you got out on the water that afternoon.
