    Default How's the weather?

Hello my Michigan friends and Sparty. I want to share a pic with you. Anybody up there cut the grass yesterday wearing shorts? I did. Yes it's in the 80's.

Also a Merry Christmas pic from Mae. With a little story about why so early.

Anyway the story. Mae has had this plant 12 years or so. Even moved with us a couple times and lived almost a year in our camper. We always called it a Christmas cactus, but it always bloomed early. After research as it turns out, there is an Easter cactus, Thanksgiving cactus and Christmas cactus. All variations of the same plant, but bloom different times. Looking at the leaves, Mae's plant is the Thanksgiving. Anyhow, we were thinking of you guys and hope we meet again. "D"

Here in the Buckeye it’s raining and raining and raining. Not cold but water logged.

Great to hear from you two!! Beautiful plant Mae. I think the Thanksgiving bloom is best version. Gets you in the spirit before Christmas. D, I just figured your long pants were shorts for everyone else anyway! Thought I would get one in before Sparty..How's the weather? How's the weather? I haven't had to cut the grass since middle of October but mulched leaves a couple times end of October.. We have had cold spells, but the weather here has actually been very mild.. Hitting 40 or close most days. Been sorry I jumped the gun first measurable snowfall and put the boat up for winter. Now I just wish it would just freeze up so we can get on the ice. Looking forward to the next time we cross paths.

I had an extremely witty comment that would have made you proud but decided you would like the WOW better. Just noticed that you addressed this to your Michigan friends and Sparty. Almost slipped that one past me. I'll be down in Calhoun for 2-3 weeks this coming spring and hope we can get together and catch up. Anything biting down your way in March?

Not sure, haven't been. Had an extremely rough day today. Our little dog Tuie had a stroke and died. I had to go see my doctor for anxiety meds. This gonna hurt a while. Sweetest dog I ever been around. Loved her more than almost anything.
