    Default Catching Minnows

Was putting out some minnow traps to start stocking my rain barrel for the summer. Unfortunately I'm not catching anything. Could the streams and rivers be too cold for minnow trapping yet? I'm over by Grand Rapids

With the rain they might be too muddy for the minnows to find your trap. I've jugged minnows in the spring in the past with no issues.

Add a hot dog or some attractant. Sometimes I use a can of cat food with hole or slits cut in the can or container

Any truth to adding a quarter of an onion for attractant?

I've always used crackers in my glass jugs
