    Default Got a limit today

Fished my early season canal today and scratched out a 25 fish limit in about 4 hours. most were 10-10 1/2" with two over 11 and a few under 10. All caught on Baby Shad, not sure of the name but it is the one with red glitter back and white belly, set 12" under a bobber.

Congrats on a limit. Fun times catching them under a bobber. My favorite way in the spring

You probably could have limited out sooner if you would have waded out a bit like you did last year....water couldn't have been that cold, air temp hit 41 today. Nice mess, good way to start off the new open water season!!!

It was 19* when I got there with skim ice around the edge. No way I was wading barefoot again. Unless I had to.

Danny, I think it is called bleeding shad but will check the pack for the name. Forgot to mention that they turned on after I gave my bait a shot of slab sauce.
