....to get out the ice fishing gear. Checked some northern Ionia/southern Montcalm County lakes and found fishable ice on several. After Monday and Tuesday below zero weather we should be good to go on most lakes. Planning a trip on Thursday, not sure where yet. vbottom will be tagging along so I know we'll catch something. He's lucky like that. Stay tuned for the report.

I was only able to find good ice about 100' off shore last weekend. With the 6 degree temps (-10 wind chill) I expect I can get the extra 150' to reach the depth I want to fish

Rods are rigged, battery on the Vexilar is charged and the batteries for the Ridgid brushless 18v drill are charged. We will be on the ice by 8 am. Weather man says 32 and calm. Now all we need is for something will bite.
