CRAPPIE CAMP 2021 Itinerary, head count, food, etc!
It's almost Crappie Camp time!
And it's time to get a head count, food and a few plans made.
Friday night liars club
As we have done in the past we will continue to carry on the tradition.
We will meet at someones campsite make a fire and have friendly discussion and maybe a few lies will be told.
We will do a giveaway with the members present and have a 50/50 drawing.
I am open to any other suggestions, and thoughts for Friday night.
Saturday tournament, awards and potluck dinner
We will discuss Friday night how the friendly tournament will be ran, you can enter Friday night or Saturday early morning to be in the tournament and elgible for awards. We will also be giving away more prizes at the potluck dinner hopefully in the pavillion after awards.
We are hoping for a good turnout so tell your friends.
We will have two drawings with prizes supplied by Thrivent.....the money aquired from those prizes will be directly donated to Autism Anglers.
Weigh in
We will be closing the weigh in at 3:00 ON Saturday at the Pavillion, winners will be announced prior to dinner.
Food
As always, there will be food and we are asking members to bring a dish to pass for both days. Bring your own table service and drinks.
Any one who can help with fish fillets we would greatly appreciate any you can spare.

Well, darn Steve, you beat me to the smoked fish. Put me down for Cheesy Mostaccioli and a couple dozen crappie fillets, and tell me which night you want either of them. I look forward to meeting you folks!
By the way, fortune is smiling upon us. This is a peak year for Houghton Lake crappies. I have caught 27 fish since the weather broke, only 4 of them under 11". We're going to need a cold snap, though - this hot weather has really put them in spawn overdrive.

Son Ryan and I teamed up for these 15 today. All of these fish are at least 12", and a couple are just shy of 14".
