Default Wall Lake in the rain

Got out today in the cold and rain. The bite was a lot slower than usual and a lot lighter as well. We were fishing the cabbage beds and had to do a lot of moving to stay on active fish. Minnows seemed to out produce plastics today. We fished from 930-230 and ended with 50 for three of us. Water temp was only 57*

I forgot to mention that most of the fish I caught were on a 1940's era 8' telescoping steel rod paired with an old 60's Mitchel Garcia spinning reel, both recent garage sale finds. The rod fished like a medium light action rod and the reel worked surprisingly well, casting better than one of the cheap reels on one of my other rods.

I've still got one of the two Mitchels (made in France) I bought when I was 13-15 YO landed a lot of fish with at reel. It needs to have the grease changed and a good cleaning from hanging on the wall for 30 years or so.
They don't make equipment like that anymore....sad
