Default Crappie Fishing in Muskegon County

We recently moved to the Muskegon area and was wondering about crappie fishing around Muskegon county. Crappies have been my target fish since the mid 1980's. Time to pass the skills on to my grandson this summer. He lives near Whitehall so if there is a particularly productive lake up there, I'd be grateful.

    Thanks!
    Chuck

Thanks! Now that you mention it, I recall in the late 1950's my dad building a shanty and putting it on Bear Lake and crappies are what we caught. That's a shallow lake and I think I have a map of it that is included with the big wall map I have of Muskegon Lake.

    Thanks again!

My brother in law died last year. He fished there a lot. Figure it could stand more pressure now. That guy was a fish slayer!
