    This sounds like fun! I've fished Houghton a few times in years past, but mostly in unsuccessful walleye trolling attempts. I do know that it doesn't take much wind to make Houghton to rough to be out safely in my 14'.
    I'll call for a reservation and hope someone at camp is willing to offer crappie advice for Houghton.

    There is a friendly tournament held on Saturday. Prizes for different species. Steelguy and Just Steve are hosting this year and are setting the rules.

    I had hoped to make it to this event but had to cancel my campground reservations. My daughter and granddaughter will be coming to visit from out of state. Good luck and hoping all a safe, fun time.

    you should bring them, it is a family friendly event.
