Default 2020 4 Legged Furry Crappie Camp

Starting the annual 4 Legged Furry scrapie camp
Now as I won’t have time to until after I am in my “Poor Mans” pop up blind.

This year will be a bit different, as I will be there with a buddy from high school, and my oldest Son.

Not sure why I am taking a weapon, as will let them shoot anything that comes by and present’s a killing shot.

Good thing is I can sleep in the blind once I am all snuggled up in my chair.

I'm in Louisiana, sitting out the opener this year. Good luck, shoot a big one.

    Well,

So far there been more laughter than hunting.

Between my Buddy & Son arguing about caliber’s that neither are shooting, and the laughing about how cute a .350 is compared to a .450, it’s going to be along day.

Biggest argument so far is if crapping is allowed in the blind, or you have to use the bucket outside in the rain.

I think the deer are pretty safe so fa

In all my years I do not think I have ever hunted opening day in a thunderstorm until now.

Time to head in for some late breakfast

    Well,

After yesterday’s attempt to shoot flying deer, cuz we sure were not going to see any.

I can imagine the deer grunting to each other.....

Dorothy, I don’t think we’re in Kansas any more.

Did find not one, but 2 Ash tree’s that fell near our blind.

We heard them crack when we left but they did not come down, when we got back for the afternoon and some food, they completed the fall.

We will see if today is any better, conditions seem a bit more productive.

Spent 4 hours in my deer blind doing work, for work, on my phone.

A whole herd of Becky’s could have came though and I would not have seen them.

Snacked on some Smoked King Salmon, and thinking I’m gonna grab my decoy and put him up tomorrow.

Have seen not one deer in a area that is known to have them running around like a dang zoo.
