Default 2020 4 Legged Furry Crappie Camp

Opening day out in the UPHMS with grandson Aiden. Son Chris on the opposite corner of the farm in the mouse hotel.

Seen nothing but lightning and the coffee cup banging on the panelling.....the UPHMS was a rocking in the brutal 44 mph winds.

Second day, morning hunt, got my deer 113 yards, one shot dropped him deader than disco. (350 legend 170 gr.)
Evening hunt Chris drops his at 150 yards) (Ruger 450)
My brother Mark texts me he got his bucks on his place in Beaverton. (.270)

Son Jr is hunting on his Father in laws farm seen nothing but squirrels.

Back to work now, it was a fun couple days.

We saw 2 last night about 7 minutes before legal shooting hours were to end.

Lost them in the brush, or they layer down.

Quiet creep out of the blind, and back into it for day 3

Heater is on, slight snow, might be a good day.

So my oldest Son & Steve have been texting back and fourth about firearm calibers, and picking on each other.

Catch is, my kid does it from my phone.

He gets into the deer blind with me this morning, and first thing he’s says isn’t “Hi Dad”, or “How are you Dad?”, “Glad to see your still alive Dad.”

    Nope not at all........

    It was “Where your phone?”

    & sends this to Steve

“You know why they call it the 350 legend?
That’s what all the old guys use, they all want to be legends.
Me on the other hand. Well... I’ll let you ask”

It’s been edited, because I don’t know if G is up yet.

    Slow morning,

Added a decoy to the game plan.

Trying to get anything on the other side of the river to cross over for a shot.

    Well,

She must not have her makeup on right or has the wrong perfume.

    Nice Two-Fur morning.

Just got home, time to get some grub to eat and then hang and skin them.

Let them cool overnight and tomorrow sharpen the knives and get to work.
